Homer officially states he hasn't strangled Bart but then why in Bad Boys… For Life did they finally bring it back? I get the creators confirmed it will continue but as Homer said, times have changed.
Personally, I knew that sooner or later they would bring back the strangulation gag because Homer is an idiot who never learns from his mistakes, The Simpsons has no continuity and the writers want to keep the popular stuff from the show to make money.
