1: Keep her personality the same as it was in the Tracey Ullman Shorts instead of making her a stereotypical smart character that no one asked for
2: Discipline her some more and not make her a Mary-Sue, like punish both her and Bart in Bart vs Thanksgiving instead of just Bart
3: Don't ever make her a Vegetarian, because that was the reason why Lisa was flanderized and a bad character since Season 7
4: Not make her Jealous because of how dangerous it is, and it resulted in her turning into a villain since Season 14
5: Not make her a Buzzkiller nor annoy the audience
6: Have her crush be Nelson but make it Permanent, and not have her be in love with other people
7: Make her remain as a Troublemaker like Bart
8: Not make her a feminist, nor have her make that feminist centerpiece
9: Never have her smart nor intelligent because it was a bad idea to portray a fictional character like that in the first place
10: No Sympathy arcs, nor make her a Karma Houdini
11: Remove episodes like, Lisa the Vegetarian, Lisa the Simpson, Dude Where's My Ranch, On a Clear Day I can't see my Sister, Bart vs Itchy and Scratchy, Lisa Goes Gaga, etc.
12: Not make the writers have her as their political soapbox
13: Not make her a SJW
14: No making her a Buddhist
15: Not cause any unforgivable things such as sabotage, murder, selfishness, etc.
16: Have actual emotional attachment from her rather than using it just for attention and sympathy, and in a snobby kind of way
17: Have her show some proper respect to her family rather than going against them
18: Even if she doesn't like it, have her still thank people for giving her whatever gift they made, rather than crying about it
19: Make her understand that the world doesn't revolve around her
20: Give her an actual sense of humor
All of these things would prevent her from being one of the worst characters, If not the worst character ever made. Matt Groening should've realized that it wasn't a good idea to change her personality back in 1989. And I don't want anyone thinking nor stating that I'm wrong, nor saying that these steps are terrible, and claiming that it's not how you fix a character. At least these steps are way better than her being the worst character in television history. I just wish that the writers could see potential in Lisa's 1980's counterpart, rather than changing it to try and make her more likable, but it failed. Tracey Ullman Lisa is pretty much the best they could do for her character. Her character has gotten worse once the series becomes a full animated sitcom in 1989.
And I apologize if I was going too far on what I said.

If you were to rewrite Lisa’s character, what would the changes be? And how would you improve her characterization?
Here’s my changes:
1: Not make her a Mary-Sue, make her more disciplined, have her learn her lesson, and have her take responsibility for her mistakes. Also have her apologize properly to Bart and her family for her actions too. Most of her flaws remain the same, but I’m changing some of them.
2: Have her understand that the world doesn’t revolve around her, and deals with the fact that she’s not perfect, and realizes that she can’t always have everything in her own way, and learns to accept these things with the help of someone. Have her still be intelligent though, but in a better source.
3: Make her more selfless than selfish, and not make her jealous over the smallest things, also have her accept some of the things she disagrees with. Oh, and not make her sabotage people over jealousy, and anything like that.
4: At least give her more valid reasons is to why she is upset at something, or valid reasons is to why she’s sad and depressed at times.
5: Have her crush be Nelson, and make it permanent. And not have Lisa attempt to murder people out of jealousy like in “Dude, Where’s My Ranch”
6: While Lisa will still have issues with Bart, at least have both of them punished instead of just Bart, and both of them apologize to each other afterwards.
7: Not have her criticize and correct her family all the time, whenever they make points on stuff, and instead, Lisa still disagrees but accepts their advice and understands some more.
8: Make her handle people doing nice things to her (Including Bart) instead of sabotaging them.
9: Get rid of episodes such as “On A Clear Day I Can’t See My Sister”, “Lisa Goes Gaga”, “Bart vs Itchy and Scratchy”, “Dude, Where’s My Ranch”, etc.
And 10: Show some more respect for her, instead of mistreating her.
And not only is this my change for Lisa’s character, this will also be part of my What if scenario of Lisa and Maggie being born as twins, where Maggie actually helps Lisa learn about a lot of things despite her intelligence, it does take a while though, but Maggie is able to get Lisa to understand the correct advice Maggie gives. And Let’s say that “What if Lisa and Maggie were Twins” will only be a 10 Season series, instead of 30+. And Let’s also say that Season 10 of my scenario takes place 10 years later after Season 9, where Lisa and Maggie are older, and Lisa is more matured with Maggie’s help and advice. And the plots are completely different in that season.
So what do you guys think of my change for Lisa’s character? Leave a comment below, and share your answers. And How YOU would make Lisa a better character.
And if anyone says “None”, or sends emojis like 🤬😡😤😠👎 or 🖕 about Lisa in general, then don’t comment on this post at all, and do something else. That includes you, Mart1997.
This picture took me several hours to make, and I drew this by tracing the characters and backgrounds and with the help of the step by step method.
This idea has been inside my mind for over a week, so I decided to make this.
I'm also gonna be planning to make more of these in the future as well. This is "The Simpsons: What if Lisa and Maggie were Twins?". Now, the first episode I will start off is Lisa The Vegetarian, aka the episode where Lisa started her decline. But since Maggie is the same age as Lisa in this timeline due to them being born as Twins, how would the situations play out? Well, let's say that Maggie tries to find Lisa instead of Homer after ruining his BBBQ, since she would be closer, and feel more worried about what Lisa has done. So let's say after Lisa met Paul and Linda McCartney and walks out of the Kwik E Mart, she sees that Maggie was looking for her, and a conversation that is similar to her and Bart at the end of the Thanksgiving episode happens, and it takes a little longer for Lisa to find a spot that shouldn't be there, and let's also say that flashbacks of her, Maggie and Bart are shown, and Lisa then realizes what she's done, she eventually apologizes to Maggie, and Maggie accepts it. As Maggie hugs Lisa and they walk home. And if you haven't seen my "Imagine If Lisa and Maggie were twins post" The Link is right here: https://simpsons.fandom.com/f/p/4400000000000105871
And if you say "But Maggie doesn't talk", I suggest you not to. Because this is only a "What if", and anything can be possible in "What Ifs" no matter what people say. Let's also have Nancy voice Maggie some more, and have her sound like Maggie as an 8 Year Old too. And again, Maggie actually does talk in this scenario, since it's only a what if. So this is what if it happened okay?
So what do you guys think? Leave a comment below, and tell which Episode should I do next in this term of events.
