While I've been reconstructing the raw background of the chalkboard gag of the Season 2 intro, I noticed a couple of quirks with it. I already know that there were quirks with how the intro transitions in and out of the chalkboard gag in episodes that uses the full intro. However, I noticed some specific quirks with how it is executed.
For example, here is as far as the classroom goes as seen in the intro's debut in Bart Gets an F.
This is how the edge is covered up in Kamp Krusty, with a duplicate of the bulletin board and bookshelf being placed next to the first one, which looks brighter than the original.
This is how the edge is covered up in the 2006 and 2008 Christmas intro, with the bookshelf and bulletin boards being duplicated and extended.
This is the edge of the scene to the left in the shorter intro, as seen in Stark Raving Dad.
This is where the wall ends in an earlier frame of the Chalkboard gag aforementioned Christmas intro.
As a reference, this is the two examples of the wall placed together.
Of course, this is closer to generalization than fact, as these gags were used in this form between October 1990 and January 2009, with potentially numerous other examples omitted given the editing and number of episodes used, as I only used three episodes that uses the shot instead of going through every episode that used this gag.

Okay quick rant: I want to know the story behind the whole season 18 dvd set so bad. Like this whole dvd set gives Legs more screen time then the last couple of seasons (/hj) I’m so mad about that *smashes head against wall*
