Keep her personality the same as it was in the Tracey Ullman Shorts instead of making her a stereotypical smart character that no one asked for
Discipline her some more and not make her a Mary-Sue, like punish both her and Bart in Bart vs Thanksgiving instead of just Bart
Don't ever make her a Vegetarian, because that was the reason why Lisa was flanderized and a bad character since Season 7
Not make her Jealous because of how dangerous it is, and it resulted in her turning into a villain since Season 14
Not make her a Buzzkiller nor annoy the audience
Have her crush be Nelson but make it Permanent, and not have her be in love with other people
Make her remain as a Troublemaker like Bart
Not make her a feminist, nor have her make that feminist centerpiece
Never have her smart nor intelligent because it was a bad idea to portray a fictional character like that in the first place
No Sympathy arcs, nor make her a Karma Houdini
Remove episodes like, Lisa the Vegetarian, Lisa the Simpson, Dude Where's My Ranch, On a Clear Day I can't see my Sister, Bart vs Itchy and Scratchy, Lisa Goes Gaga, etc.
Not make the writers have her as their political soapbox
 Not make her a SJW
 No making her a Buddhist
Not cause any unforgivable things such as sabotage, murder, selfishness, etc.
Have actual emotional attachment from her rather than using it just for attention and sympathy, and in a snobby kind of way
Have her show some proper respect to her family rather than going against them
Even if she doesn't like it, have her still thank people for giving her whatever gift they made, rather than crying about it
Make her understand that the world doesn't revolve around her
Give her an actual sense of humor
All of these things would prevent her from being one of the worst characters, If not the worst character ever made. Matt Groening should've realized that it wasn't a good idea to change her personality back in 1989. And I don't want anyone thinking nor stating that I'm wrong, nor saying that these steps are terrible, and claiming that it's not how you fix a character. At least these steps are way better than her being the worst character in television history. I just wish that the writers could see potential in Lisa's 1980's counterpart, rather than changing it to try and make her more likable, but it failed. Tracey Ullman Lisa is pretty much the best they could do for her character. Her character has gotten worse once the series becomes a full animated sitcom in 1989.
And I apologize if I was going too far on what I said.

Would that make her a better character if her personality never changed back when the Simpsons started becoming a full series in 1989? And she her character just remained the same as in the Tracey Ullman Shorts? I think the answer would be yes. If Lisa remained as a "Female Bart" but is a troublemaker her own way once the series began in 1989, that could've made her a super good character. And think about it, this portrayal of Lisa wouldn't make her selfish, nor annoying. And instead, she would be more disciplined along with Bart instead of being just Bart who gets in trouble. That's what sorta happened in the Tracey Ullman shorts. And let's say that Tracey Ullman Lisa wouldn't be jealous over people having crushes on other people that she has a crush on. And Instead, she has a strong passion for Nelson, and make it a permanent couple. And Lisa wasn't even a snob, back in the 80's too. Let's also say that both her and Bart cause more trouble in the Thanksgiving episode, but with no centerpiece because Tracey Ullman Lisa isn't like that, and Bart and Lisa just fight over wanting to sit on a chair that they prefer to sit at, and the turkey then gets thrown into the fire, and they both get severely punished afterwards. They both apologize at the end and they have softer sides within their souls. They also cause trouble together in school and that maybe Lisa could that herself but in her own way and for comedic purposes. And Lisa actually does learn from her mistakes in this portrayal just like with Bart instead of not caring about it and only does whenever it affects on her. Plus, Lisa would've never been flanderized nor would flanderization exist if Matt Groening didn't change Lisa's personality back in 1989, and her character would be a lot more forgivable and likable. And let's say that she doesn't stop eating meat, although she is still fond of animals in general, she still eats meat just like in the first 6 Seasons, and let's say that she never goes vegan. Plus, it wouldn't really be out of character if this was Tracey Ullman Lisa that we're talking about. She also never criticizes anyone, since she's not intelligent, which that's also a good quality. And I think Lisa being born without high intelligence would make her a much better human being than she currently is. Tracey Ullman Lisa had so much potential on being an interesting good character, but no it got ruined by the writers changing her into a snob and a stereotypical smart character that no one asked for... Lisa's Tracey Ullman Counterpart could've prevented her from being one of the worst characters in television history... Matt Groening should've just kept her personality the same as it was in the 80s but give her some more character in a different way. So yeah, what do you guys think? Would she not be as hated as she is right now, if her personality remained the same as in the Tracey Ullman Shorts? And would her flaws be better if she is portrayed this way instead? And do you think the series wouldn't go downhill if Lisa's personality never changed back when the series became a full in 1989? Leave a comment below and share your thoughts.
