2/10 – I'm sorry, but this episode is trash

Pros:

• Good concept

• Mr. Burns was enjoyable

Cons:

• Marge was absolutely insufferable here. For the most part she was just bland and uninteresting. But when she comes home, she just becomes insanely mean-spirited towards Homer for no justified reason.

• The scene of Marge berating Homer was such a fricking chore to sit through

• I also hate how Marge never apologized to Homer, nor did she ever get arrested for domestic violence.

• Homer was somewhat 'eh' here too

• The subplot of Homer finding a new female friend is just a significantly watered down version of "The Last Temptation of Homer"

• I never cared for Julia

• Other painfully unfunny and annoying moments, such as the Funeral scene and Therapist flashback

• Plot Hole: How did Dr. Nussbaum die?

Overall, this episode had Marge hit rock bottom, and this might be my least favorite episode of Season 28…

5.5/10 – Started off very annoying but kinda finds its footing near the end… I guess?

Pros:

• Bart and Lisa were enjoyable

• The slumber party is by far my favorite part of the episode

• The ending was wholesome

• A few funny moments, mainly from the subplot

• I liked the talk between Homer and Calvin about how Abe treated Homer in this younger years.

• Homer and Abe were decent in the last third of the episode.

Cons:

• The plot and concept are once again a rehash of the other Grandpa dating episodes

• Homer and Abe were mediocre in the first two thirds of the episode.

• The scene of Homer and Calvin in the car drags on for way too long oml

• I didn’t care for the new characters

• The fight between Calvin and Homer was annoying

Overall, this was just an okay episode and various flaws in between…

NOTE: I don’t hate Lisa, she is, tbh, more average than actually bad.

“E My Sports” has the worst ending I have ever seen in a Simpsons episode

1. Barthood is my favorite Simpsons episode, period.

2. On a Clear Day I Can't See My Sister is my least favorite Simpsons episode of all time.
