Al Jean est un scénariste et producteur américain. Il est principalement connu pour son travail sur la série télévisée d'animation, Les Simpson et pour avoir créé avec Mike Reissla série Profession : critique.
Jean est un scénariste de comédies TV, principalement connu pour avoir travaillé pour les Simpson. Il a écrit pour National Lampoon magazine, The Tonight Show, Alf et The PJs. En 1994 il crée avec Mike Reiss la série d'animation Profession : critique. Al Jean est actuellement show runner des Simpson, depuis la treizième saison, poste qu'il avait déjà occupé pour les saisons 3 et 4.
