Cultural References[]
- The episode title is a reference to the 1981 American television program The Fall Guy and its 2024 American action comedy film namesake. It also incorporates the Spanish expression "¡Ay, ay, ay!" (Bumblebee Man's catchphrase), which translates to English as "Oh-oh no."
- Many parts of the episode parody the movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood... with Bumblebee Man in the role of fading TV star Rick Dalton and Homer in the role of Rick Dalton's stunt double Cliff Booth.
- Bumblebee Man's house is based on Rick Dalton's house in Los Angeles which in the film is suppose to be on Cielo Drive in Benedict Canyon, but the real-life house used for the movie is in Studio City.
- Bart indirectly references Luigi Mangione, the infamous murderer of UnitedHealthCare CEO Brian Thompson. Bart says he "know[s] how the Mangiones feel" when it comes to having a "badass" in the family that they cannot brag about.
