Synopsis[]
When Groundskeeper Willie is kidnapped to Scotland, Bart and the Simpsons follow — only to discover that what awaits is Homer's worst nightmare.
Plot[]
After Bart accidentally gave his classmates nicotine patches while trying to avoid dancing with girls in gym class, Skinner makes him help Groundskeeper Willie in his shed as punishment. When Willie learns about Bart's reason, he reveals that he himself had his heart broken by a girl named Maisie in Scotland. The next day, Willie goes missing and sends Bart a video about having been kidnapped in Edinburg, Scotland. Bart gets his family to travel to Edinburgh to rescue Willie, only to find out that his "kidnapping" was just a ruse to lure the Simpsons to attend his wedding to Maisie more specifically, the same wedding Marge anonymously received invitations for that Homer didn't want to go to.
Bart and Homer are horrified by this and refuse to attend, and Bart even destroys the wedding cake by throwing it out the window. Bart overhears Maisie's father and brothers talking about how they're using Willie and thinks Maisie doesn't love him. They catch Bart and lock him in a tower before the wedding, but Bart escapes with a makeshift ladder and warns Willie at the altar. Fortunately, it turns out that Maisie didn't know her father and brothers were using Willie and truly loves him, so they get married anyway. Meanwhile, Homer started to leave before the wedding after Marge made an embarrassing toast about how different Homer is, but after he sends Marge a video of a dog and a seal together, Marge realizes it doesn't matter and they run back to each other.
