The A Christmas Carol couch gag is the eighth couch gag of Season 28.
Plot[]
The Simpsons family runs in the living room and sit on the couch as usual, but are dressed as characters from A Christmas Carol. Homer is the Ghost of Christmas Present, Marge is Jacob Marley, Lisa is the Ghost of Christmas Past, Maggie is the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, and Bart is Tiny Tim.
Mr. Burns, dressed as Ebenezer Scrooge, walks in and says, "Smithers, release the Christmas hounds!", which summons two of the hounds (wearing reindeer antlers and bell harnesses). As they run in and bark, the Simpsons scream in fear and jump off of the couch and out of the living room.
