A Made Maggie |
|
Trivia[]
- This is the final episode to air in 2021.
- Homer never thought of giving Moe a chance to become Maggie's godfather by immediately checking him off the list, yet in "Moe Baby Blues," Moe actually acted as a father figure to Maggie in that episode.
- Despite that Johnny Tightlips attempted to betray Fit-Fat Tony again due to being jealous of Maggie and the Simpsons, Johnny, himself, however, was seen with his infant daughter in "I'm Just a Girl Who Can't Say D'oh" before, making him appear to be a hypocrite. It was especially hinted that he has a soft side for baby stuff due to his experience with his daughter when he was seen smiling tenderly for a brief moment at a blue stuffed teddy bear in a baby crib before casting that aside quickly in the newly opened Bambino Depot at the Springfield Mall while helping Legs and Louie set the store up with Fit-Fat Tony.
- This is the second episode where Fit-Fat Tony cries, the first being "The Fat Blue Line." (Other episodes his cousin, Fat Tony, cried in are "Poppa's Got A Brand New Badge," "Mr. Spritz Goes to Washington," and "Moe Baby Blues," which also counts as the fifth episode where Fat Tony/Fit-Fat Tony cried in)
- Don Castellaneta from "Moe Baby Blues" appears in this episode, making a deal with Johnny on getting rid of Fit-Fat Tony.
- Despite that she, in "The Real Housewives of Fat Tony," divorced Fit-Fat Tony upon learning that she was just his mistress and that he is a bigamist due to marrying Connie, Selma Bouvier, however, attended Maggie's baptism which involved Fit-Fat Tony becoming her godfather and then eating at Luigi's with him and the Simpsons.
- This marks the second episode where Johnny betrays Fit-Fat Tony, the first time being "The Fat Blue Line." But this time, Legs and Louie prevented Johnny from killing Fit-Fat Tony instead of joining the former like they did in the aforementioned previous episode where Johnny betrays Fit-Fat Tony, both of them admitting that they're among Fit-Fat Tony's "Cousins."
- Luigi admitted to Fit-Fat Tony that he never went to Italy yet.
- This also marks the first episode in the series since Season 12 where Legs has the most lines ever spoken; Other episodes, he never does speak occasionally, has very few lines, or his voice is drowned out by other characters' voices when among a crowd.
- Grampa answers Marge's phone call on a smart phone, although it rung like a traditional telephone. However, because smart phones have the ability to change ringtones, he may have chosen this one.
Cultural References[]
- The Ferrari Protectorossa car seat is a play on the Ferrari Testarossa sports car.
- Fit-Fat Tony, at one point, sang his rendition of "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" to Maggie.
- If you look really closely at the book that Fit-Fat Tony shows Maggie while at Luigi’s, the second page says, "The Many Saints of Springfield," similar to “The Many Saints of Newark.”
- Ironically, an episode in Season 34 would be titled "The Many Saints of Springfield".
- Fit-Fat Tony admitted that he never saw "The Godfather," yet what inspired him to become a mafia man are "Shark Tale" and "Analyze This," both films that involve a mafia. Even Marge, herself, admitted that she only saw the wedding scene from "The Godfather" and that was it.
- The on-ice show Fit-Fat Tony invited the Simpsons to go see with him without a crowd (Or "Witnesses," according to the characters), is called "Itchy and Scratchy's Christmas on Ice," which spoofs several on ice shows.
- The Grizzledum, Pufflesnuf, and Slithereen Houses are parodies of the Gryffondor, Hufflepuff, and Slythereen Houses from the "Harry Potter" franchise. Even the Theme Park "The Overpriced World of Angelica Button" is a spoof of "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter" at Universal Studios Parks, along with the Categorize Cap spoofing the Sorting Hat.
