Trivia/Goofs[]

  • In Lisa's first song, she says she has been to France: "The Crepes of Wrath". The Simpsons went there close to the end of Bart-Mangled Banner.
  • Homer once again shows his talents as a musician (he use to be a part of the BeSharps).
  • Lurleen Lumpkin can be seen standing in the mall audience. Like Lisa, her musical career was also managed by Homer.
  • Homer also yells kind words while outraged in Postcards From the Wedge.
  • This episode is the second time that Lisa's vegetarianism has saved her from getting food poisoning -- back in "Grade School Confidential," Lisa pretended to have food poisoning after a bunch of other people got sick from eating oysters at Martin Prince's birthday party. When Bart questioned Lisa on it, pointing out Lisa's vegetarianism and noting how oysters are technically meat, Lisa explained to her brother that she simply wanted an excuse to leave the party without seeming rude.
  • Lisa's relationship with Ralph Wiggum is brought up in this episode where he sang the ABC song incorrectly. After he is finished Lisa says "I can't believe I used to date him."
  • When we see Carl in the audience from behind, he has yellow skin.
  • Lisa singing about her cat that she lost at Christmas eve is from the episode, Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire.
  • Because Lisa's French voice actress wasn't a good singer, all of Lisa's songs were performed by good-singer-Bart's French voice actress instead.
  • Lenny questioning Milhouse's sexuality when he sings "When a Man loves a Woman" is one of many times that Milhouse is accused of having feminine traits
  • When the family fall asleep after getting sick from eating vegetables they are in their normal clothes, but when Lisa comes downstairs in the morning the family are wearing their sleepwear.
  • Lisa shows Homer a tray with nine cookies, but Homer eats three and they are all gone.
  • After the Simpsons (except Lisa) got sick from the veggies, the sky changes in the scene where Lisa was making her family feel better.
