Amid in the comics

Amid bin Laden is the father of Bashir bin Laden.

History

His job is to demolish old, run-down buildings, which Homer mistakes for him being a terrorist due to hearing parts of his conversation with his wife.

He says his job is harder than it looks as he has to position the bomb in a strategic position to blow up the whole building, while at the same time maximizing safety to the surrounding area. His demolition of the old Springfield Mall went wrong as Homer threw the bomb into the river, blowing up the bridge to the Duff Beer brewery which was supposed to open the following day.
