Andrea Louise Martin (born January 15, 1947 in Portland, Maine) is an American-Canadian actress, singer, comedian, and author. She is best known for her role in SCTV (being one of only three American-born cast members from that show, joining Joe Flaherty and Harold Ramis, and one of four SCTV cast members who wasn't born in Canada, joining Flaherty, Ramis, and the Italian-born Tony Rosato), and has appeared in numerous films, including Anastasia (1997), Hedwig and the Angry Inch (2001), My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002), and My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 (2016). She provided the voice of Apu's Mother in the Season 9 episode The Two Mrs. Nahasapeemapetilons.
Martin appeared on an episode of The Tracey Ullman Show as a therapy patient.
In addition, Martin also has worked in many Broadway plays, including My Favorite Year (1992), Candide (1997), Oklahoma! (2002), and Young Frankenstein (2007).
In 2014, Martin wrote an autobiography, titled Andrea Martin's Lady Parts.
Martin was previously married to Bob Dolman and has two sons, Joe Dolman and Jack Dolman.
Currently, she tours North America in Andrea Martin: Final Days, Everything Must Go!, a one-woman comedy show.
