Anthony Hopkins is a Welsh actor.
History[]
He came to audition for Mr. Burns' part for A Burns for All Seasons, wheeled in restrained a la Hannibal Lecter. He said "Excellent." and hissed, but was denied.
He is credited as 'Corky' in the mock film The Poke of Zorro. Funnily enough, Hopkins plays a character named Corky in the 1978 film Magic.
He appears to live in the house opposite of 742 Evergreen Terrace. He was once playing with a remote control car when Luigi told him that his pizza would be late. Hopkins angrily shouted "Damn you. Damn you to Hell!"
Behind the Laughter[]
- It wasn't Anthony Hopkins himself, but Hank Azaria who voiced Bronson's character.
- His appearance in "A Star is Burns" is a reference to Hopkins' portrayal of Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs from 1991, including his infamous slurping noise.
- In real life, Hopkins declined to voice Dr. Wolfe in the season 4 episode "Last Exit to Springfield".
