Arizona is a state in the U.S.A., best known for the Grand Canyon. It is one of the only two U.S. states (the other being Hawaii) that does not observe daylight savings time.

In "Kill the Alligator and Run", after getting banned from Florida, the Simpson family look for places to take their next vacation, but they have been kicked out of every state except North Dakota and Arizona. However, Homer says that "Arizona smells funny", and the Simpsons go to North Dakota instead.
In "Fland Canyon", Homer tells Maggie about a trip the Simpson family took to the Grand Canyon with the Flanders family.
