I should have done this years ago. I feel so free. This is a queer paradise. We have slurs for straight people here. And the obscene amount of water wasted keeping this place green?

One morning at the DMV, Selma is promoted to supervisor, as Ken is retiring after winning his lottery ticket. Meanwhile, at the dental clinic, Bart consumes all the cookies in the restroom to prepare for his prank before the checkup, scaring her. As a result, after Bart's prank, Homer punishes him by drilling Bart's Xbox console with a power drill, destroying it. When Patty and Selma went to the Simpson house, with Selma showing photos of her new office to them, Patty went upstairs and overheard Bart complaining about Homer destroying his video game console. Patty's idea is to access Selma's account and impersonate her hair and set Homer as legally deceased on his license, making his life impossible.
When Homer is distracted driving while eating, Chief Wiggum pulls him over and informs him that his license status is dead and unable to issue a ticket. Much to Bart's dismay, it backfired so hard that Homer bought a lifetime of Krusty Burger. At the DMV, Selma overhears Patty about what they have done with it, thanks to Bart, and ends up firing her. At home, Marge receives multiple phone calls complaining about Patty being fired from her job, and Homer jokes that she might be ghosting them. Patty tries to get her job at El Yogo Loco, but her interview with the Squeaky-Voiced Teen went wrong due to her demands. Bart apologizes to Patty for being fired from her job and proposes that she change her appearance to make it less likely for Selma. When Selma quit dating because Patty disapproved of her relationships, Lisa suggested that Selma start a new life.
When Patty wakes up to find a man named Merle who spent the night with Selma, she is furious because she never approved of him. Upset, she packs her things and decides to move to Palm Springfield, where she got a job at the Department of Historic Home Preservation. At Luigi's with Homer and Marge, Merle is annoyed that his reward program on the credit card is kind of a joke, but luckily, Merle's credit card points to obtain it to make the way to a premium platinum card. Lisa told Marge that Selma is pretending to be like Merle, while Bart showed her photos of Patty looking upset. They have a plan upcoming weekend to watch a golf tournament at the Subaru Dr. Martens LPGA Tournament in Palm Springfield, but the tickets are all sold out, so they get the help of Merle to get VIP Mx Lounge access by purchasing with his credit card to obtain excessive points. However, Homer is unable to enter since he is legally dead, and his card is void. The only way Homer can enter is to access Selma's account and set his status as alive, so Homer eventually enters the area.
When Patty and Selma see each other, they begin to fight in the middle of the golf field, but Marge steps in to separate them and tries to reason with them. Feeling dissatisfied with their new lives, they decide to make amends and reconnect. Selma has hired Patty again, who just moved into the next apartment.
