Austria (German: Österreich), officially the Republic of Austria (Republik Österreich), is a country located in Europe. It is bordered by Germany, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. The country was united with the Kingdom of Hungary on 8 June 1867, as Austria-Hungary until Austria and Hungary split into two countries again in November 1918 at the end of World War I. The capital is Vienna, and they joined the European Union on 1 January 1995, adopting the Euro currency seven years later. In real life, the show is broadcast on ORF1.

Rainier Wolfcastle was originally from Austria, and is seen featured in an Austrian advertisement. This is a direct parody of Arnold Schwarzenegger as he was also born in Austria.[3]

Adolf Hitler, the leader of the Nazi Party was born in Braunau am Inn, Austria-Hungary on 20 April 1889. He would later become Chancellor, then Führer of Germany and rule Germany as a dictatorship from 1933-45. Hitler was responsible for starting World War II when German forces invaded Poland on 1 September 1939. Austria was annexed by Nazi Germany in 1938.
