Bart's Not Dead |
|
Cultural References
- This episode's title is a reference to the film "God's Not Dead".
- It could also be taking a jab at the internet-famous Creepypasta, "Dead Bart", which was presented as a lost episode from the first season of The Simpsons, featuring the death of Bart Simpson. However, "Dead Bart" is a fan-made episode, as it is not official, since it uses the image of Homer’s melted face from “Brother from the Same Planet”.
- Also as in previous episode Bart was hit by a thunder this title could indicate that Bart didn't die due to that. So this episode could be a sequel.
- May also have been titled to play off of the season premier of South Park which aired 4 days earlier. It revolved around school shootings and was titled "Dead Boys".
- Homer tells Marge at the hospital, "as someone who has fallen off of cliffs lots of times". This could be referencing "Bart The Daredevil".
Trivia
- In the opening to this episode, it reuses scenes from the past 29 seasons.
Goofs
- The second set of credits at the end of act 3 has only one S in the last word of "Springfield Film Commision".
