Bart's prank calls occur when Bart Simpson makes a prank phone call to somebody. Usually, it's Moe, but occasionally others are involved as well.

Moe is the frequent target of Bart's prank phone calls. Usually, Bart calls Moe's Tavern and asks for an individual by his or her name. Unbeknownst to Moe, the name is a pun or double entendre, which Bart usually hides by saying the last name first when he tells Moe who he's calling for. The joke is revealed when Moe calls the person's name aloud, saying their first name (or initials) first, and the last name last, where his customers proceed to laugh at his expense. Upon realizing that he has been prank called, Moe will angrily threaten Bart with a peculiar threat. Curiously, Moe has heard Bart's voice several times and has of yet not been able to identify the voice when it calls him. That said, Bart has been known to alter his voice, or it could be phone static. In addition, Moe once implied that the sender of the calls often changed his name. Sometimes Bart plays the pranks by methods other than over the phone, but the general idea is the same. While this was a running gag in earlier seasons of the show, the gag became less common and would only appear on some occasions.

Episode Name/Phrase Pun/Likelihood Moe's (or others') Replies Notes
Homer's Odyssey I.P. Freely "I pee freely"

"Wait a minute! Listen to me, you lousy bum. When I get ahold of you, you're dead. I swear I'm going to slice your heart in half!"

This prank was later reused by drunken fraternity boys in a prank call to Kent Brockman about a fight in Springfield involving a giant lizard. Brockman didn't realize he'd been had until he said the caller's name on the air. It was the show's first prank call. When Homer reassured him, Moe also claimed that he'll find the guy responsible for the calls that he frequently tried to get the caller's name, but he kept changing his name.
Moaning Lisa Jacques Strappe "Jockstrap" “Oh, Wait a min- jockstra- It’s you isn’t it, you cowardly little runt?! When I get a hold of you, I am gonna gut you like a fish and drink your blood, You cowardly little runt!” Bart made this prank call trying to cheer up Lisa.
Some Enchanted Evening Al Coholic "Alcoholic" "Wait a minute! Listen, you little yellow-bellied rat jackass, if I ever find out who you are, I'll kill you!" Bart made a prank call to Moe asking for "Al Coholic" as in "alcoholic".
Oliver Klosoff "All of her clothes off" "Listen, you lousy bum, if I ever get ahold of you, I swear I'll cut your belly open!" In this prank call, Moe's face isn't seen. Later, Marge picks up the phone to make a call before Bart has hung up, and ends up hearing Moe threaten Bart. Unaware of the prank, Marge resets the phone, believing the problem to be a crossed wire. The name was later used again in the game The Simpsons: Bart vs. the Space Mutants.
One Fish, Two Fish, Blowfish, Blue Fish Seymour Butz "See more butts" “Oh, wait a minute. Listen you little scum-sucking pus bucket. When I get my hands on you, I’m gonna pull out your eyeballs with a corkscrew!” "Seymour" and "Butz" are real names. In fact, "Seymour" is actually Principal Skinner's first name. A variation of the name, "Seymour Asses" was used for the name of Fry's dog in Matt Groening's Futurama.
Principal Charming Homer Sexual "Homosexual" "Oh no! You rotten little punk! If I ever get ahold of you, I'll sink my teeth into your cheek and rip your face off!" / Seymour: You Do What, Young Man? / "What? Wait. Who is this?" / Seymour: I think the real question is, "Who is this?" and "Where is Homer Simpson?" / "Whoa! Whoa! Sorry. Principle Skinner. Sorry. It's a bad connection. I think." (to Homer) "It's for you. I think Bart's in trouble again." Bart played this prank when he was in Principal Skinner's office and was supposed to call Homer. When Homer misunderstood the situation, he suspected that Skinner was gay. In addition, between Bart's name request and Moe's threat, Bart supplied Skinner with the phone, causing the latter to hear Moe's threat, and in addition to informing Moe that he was actually trying to address Homer, also proceeded to angrily chew Moe out for the threat.
Blood Feud Mike Rotch "My crotch" "Listen to me, you little puke. One of these days, I'm going to catch you, and then I'm going to carve my name on your back with an ice pick!" The only prank phone call to be removed when the episode was edited for syndication on Fox. However the clip wasn't edited out for syndication when used in the episode "Another Simpsons Clip Show". Later referenced again when Moe testified against Bart in "Dark Knight Court". Notably, a clip of this prank call was sampled for Weird Al's song "Phony Calls," itself a parody of TLC's "Waterfalls."
Treehouse of Horror II None "I'm a stupid moron with an ugly face and a big butt and my butt smells and I like to kiss my own butt" "Hey...Wait a minute!" This prank took place during a Treehouse of Horror story where Bart had vast mind powers and could make everyone do whatever he wanted — including, in Moe's case, going along with a blindingly obvious prank call. Also is the only prank call to take place during a Treehouse of Horror story (although it was later shown in "Another Simpsons Clip Show").
Flaming Moe's Hugh Jass "Huge ass" "Hello, this is Hugh Jass." / "Who's this?" / "What can I do for you Bart?" / "Alright, better luck next time." (sigh) "What a nice young man." Backfired, because there really was a man in the bar named Hugh Jass. Humorously, Hugh immediately learns that it's Bart who is the caller, but still lets the boy off the hook, all while Moe continues to remain oblivious. Hugh Jass doesn't seem to be upset about said phone call, telling Bart "better luck next time" and calling him a "nice young man".
Burns Verkaufen der Kraftwerk Bea O'Problem "B. O. Problem" "Oh it's you isn't it?!" / "Listen you, when I get ahold of you, I'm going to use your head for a bucket and paint my house with your brains!" In this context, "B.O." is short for "body odor."; After this prank call, Bart went to Moe's Tavern to bring Homer back, Moe recognized him, but failed to realize that Bart was his tormentor.
New Kid on the Block Amanda Hugginkiss "A man to hug and kiss" “You little S.O.B!

Why if i ever find out who you are, I’m gonna shove a sausage down your throat and stick starving dogs in your butt!” / "Ah-ha! Big mistake, pal!"

Bart played the prank in order to ruin Jimbo Jones's date with Laura Powers. In the sense Moe was using it, "S.O.B" is an abbreviation for "Son of a *****". Bart then told Moe Jimbo's name and address, and Moe ran to the house and burst in brandishing a knife, effectively ending the date; In a documentary of the Simpsons voices, Nancy Cartwright made a prank call to Hank Azaria looking for "Amanda Kissandhug" (A man to kiss and hug).

Ivana Tinkle "I wanna tinkle" N/A Laura Powers actually made this prank call, with help from Bart.
Cape Feare Hello, Moe? I know you're the one behind this, so knock it off, or we're going to the cops! N/A "No, no, I'll take care of it." (runs through the door) "Okay, it's over! Get 'em outta there!" (releases some pandas) "Andele! Andele!" Not an actual prank call, but Lisa calls Moe's Tavern due to thinking Moe was the one sending threatening letters to Bart and vaguely threatens him to stop threatening her brother or she'll call the cops on him. Moe, misinterpreting her threat to be referring to his Panda smuggling operation, then assures her he'll take care of it and orders the pandas to be released. The actual person sending the threatening letters was Sideshow Bob.
The PTA Disbands Anita Bath "I need a bath" "Hey, what are you laughing at? What? Oh, oh, I get it, I get it. It's my big ears, isn't it, Kids? Well, children, I can't help that!" (runs out of the classroom crying). Roll-call prank. Moe was substitute-teaching in Bart's class. Bart added the prank names to the list of students in the class, and when Moe called the roll, the effect was the same as when he calls out the names in the bar. Unlike the usual prank calls, Moe does not realize he was pranked.
Maya Buttreeks "My, uh butt reeks" Another roll-call prank, as above. Also as above, Moe does not realize he was pranked, and instead believes the reason the kids were laughing is because they were mocking his ear size.
Homer the Smithers Wayland Smithers "Wailing smithers" "Listen to me you, when I catch you, I'm going to pull out your eyes and shove 'em down your pants so you can watch me kick the crap out of you, okay?! Then I'm going to use your tongue to paint my boat!" Not an actual prank call, but Mr. Burns called Moe's Tavern when, after a traumatizing experience of Homer lashing out from Mr. Burns' abuse resulting in him seriously injuring him by punching him in the eye, attempted to call Smithers (by dialing the letters of his last name), and requested for Waylon Smithers. Moe thought it was another one of Bart's pranks, and instead of asking his clients, he ends up chewing out Mr. Burns instead.
Bart on the Road Eura Snotball "You're a Snotball" "What?! How dare you!" (shakes fist in anger) "If I find out who this is, I'll staple a flag to your butt, and mail you to Iran!" Homer actually attempted this prank in the game "True or Consequence," but it backfired when Moe repeated the name while he was still on the phone. Also, in an inverse of usual events, the prank caller threatened Moe instead of Moe threatening the prank caller.
Last Tap Dance in Springfield I8-PP "I ate pee-pee" "Why you little!" (strangles Bart) Bart didn't call Moe like he usually does, but wrote a line, "I8-PP", on a table Homer was supposed to read while testing his new glasses. Homer later tested them by looking at Bart being strangled. Just before being strangled, Bart was also in the midst of writing "URA", presumably meant to translate to "You're a [insert vulgar insult here]"), although Homer caught him in the act when he chuckled and ended up being interrupted before finishing.
Bart Carny Detective Likeigiveadamn "Like I give a damn" Homer sits down to wait and proceeds to thank him with unrestrained joy to Chief Wiggum's bafflement. Lisa tries to tell him Wiggum blew him off, but Homer dismisses her and claims he's waiting for the aforementioned detective. Not an actual prank call, let alone one given by Bart, but Chief Wiggum supplies this name when sarcastically blowing Homer off on helping to evict Cooder and Spud from illegally squatting in their house due to still being sore over Homer not understanding Wiggum's request for a bribe earlier. Homer takes his sarcastic quip literally and attempts to wait for the non-existent police officer while dismissing Lisa's attempts to explain that Wiggum refused to help in a similar manner to his dismissing Bart's attempted warning about Wiggum wanting a bribe earlier.
Helter Shelter Haywood U. Cuddleme "Hey, would you cuddle me?" "Oh, d'oh, that little, ooh...[to telegraph] I'm going to drive a golden spike where your Union meets your Central Pacific, stop!" The Simpsons were in a reality show where they were living with 19th-century technology, so Bart played the prank via telegraph (sending it in Morse code).
Homer the Moe Ollie Tabooger "I'll eat a booger" "Oooh, Bart! My first prank call! What do I do?" / "I don't get it..." / "What's the gag?" / Bart: Oh, Forget it! Moe was away and Homer was tending the bar. Bart tried to prank Homer with this call. It backfired, however, when Homer immediately recognized the call as a prank and didn't understand what he was supposed to do. Even though Bart told him what to do, Homer still didn’t understand, to which Bart gives up and hangs up in disappointment.
24 Minutes Ahmed Adoudi "I made a doodie" "Damn it!" Jack Bauer was the victim of this prank. Although Bauer doesn't actually threaten Bart in response, he did arrest Bart at the end of the episode in retribution. Additionally, Chloe O'Brian plays along with the Prank Call, claiming that Ahmed was a Wealthy Saudi Fiancer who went missing in Afghanistan somewhere in the late 90s. When Jack responds, she tells Jack that it was a joke and that Ahmed doesn't exists.
The Simpsons Movie Ima Wiener "I'm a Wiener" "Well, always leave 'em laughing...(short chuckle) goodbye sir." Technically not a prank call. As Russ Cargill attempted to kill Homer, Bart told him that if he went through with that, he'd never learn the location of the Treasure of Ima Weiner. This distracted him long enough for Maggie to drop a rock on him. Also, unlike with Moe, the usual recipient, Russ Cargill does not threaten Bart in response, as evidenced by his reply, as he largely took the whole thing in stride due to his already planning to kill Bart and Homer beforehand for foiling his plans anyway.
The Way We Weren't Elvis Jagger Abdul-Jabaar "...Jabber of..." "Hey, don't you try and prank ME with a fake name! I will rip out your intestines and use them to make a lanyard! Hello? Hello? (groans) And that's the origin of that." Despite Bart not being the one for this, this is the origin of Moe's experiences. A teenage Marge is looking for Homer, who is using that name but not his real one, by calling Moe, who spontaneously doubts about that name.
Lost Verizon Maya Normousbutt "My enormous butt" (shakes receiver in anger) Bart played this prank while calling Hawaii on Denis Leary's stolen cell phone.
Drew P. Wiener "Droopy wiener" Same as before. Bart played this prank while calling Australia on Denis Leary's stolen cell phone.
Olaf Meifrend-Sergey "All of my friends are gay" "Wait a minute... If I ever get ahold of you... I will thank you for showing me the futility of human endeavor." Bart played this prank while calling Sweden on Denis Leary's stolen cell phone. Also the only one of the three to have the Bartender actually supply a threat in response.
Rednecks and Broomsticks "Ladies and gentlemen, I am a big dummy with a stupid job. I write down what other people say, Just like a big dummy would." Self-explanatory "'I am a big dummy with a stupid job...? Hey!" Not a prank call, but Bart after managing to convince the judge of a hearing on Cassandra and two other witches to enter something into public record, recites the above and then has the court recorder read it back to the audience, with the first phrase causing her to realize she had been tricked.
Donnie Fatso Yuri Nator "Urinator" "Why you... I'm going to chop you into little pieces and make you into a Rubik’s Cube which I would never solve!"

Technically not a prank call, but Fat Tony called Moe's Tavern by mistake and asked for Yuri Nator, a kingpin of the Russian Mafia, and it resulted in the usual pattern. Fat Tony also indirectly refers to Bart in this instance, stating when explaining to his new recruit as part of his "bone-making" ceremony that "When [Fat Tony] called his Russian business partner Yuri Nator, [Fat Tony] didn't expect to get screamed at like some 10-year-old punk making a prank call!"

Love is a Many Strangled Thing I.M.A. Wiener "I am a Wiener" "When I get ahold of you, I..." Oh, damn it, I typed an F and not a D... eh, delete, delete, delete, delete... Oh, crap! I just donated $20 to Haiti!

Bart sent a text message to Moe's Tavern while he was supposed to cut down a noose choking Homer at Therapy. Moe was unable to actually threaten Bart because of difficulty with typing a text response to Bart (initially misspelling a word with a "f" instead of a "d", and while in the process of deleting his message to start over, he accidentally donated $20 to Haiti); At the end of the Simpsons Movie, Bart reused this name in a prank towards Russ Cargill regarding knowledge of a buried treasure (who unlike Moe took it with some stride due to his intending to kill the two Simpsons beforehand anyway).

Whiskey Business Moe Ron "Moron" "It's you, you little puke!, I'm going to tie a rope around your neck and hang (Moe kicks the chair out from under him and accidentally hangs himself) your neck! I'll show you who's a... moron!" (the wooden beam breaks, leaving Moe undead) Bart made this prank call as Moe was about to hang himself. This call backfired when Moe repeated the name into the phone. Also, this is the first time Moe is mentioned in the prank call.
Yellow Subterfuge This is Barack Obama, nope, that's offensive, I wanna talk about submarines and trips, Simpson has to go, Simpson has to go, on a submarine, on a submarine. Bart impersonating President Barack Obama. "Is this a prank?" (Skinner shocked) "Of course." (acknowledges a prank) Bart actually impersonated President Obama in order to go on a submarine using a series of videos on his laptop, but failed because a bird came and started to press buttons which revealed the impersonation.

The Simpsons Guy

Lee Kee-bum "Leaky Bum" (Moe bangs his head) *unknown dialogue* Bart made this prank call with Stewie Griffin.
"Hello Moe? Your sister's being raped!" Stewie Griffin calling Moe's, with Bart in The Simpsons Guy. N/A Bart previously pranked called Moe's, so Stewie attempted one, but he didn't get the point.
The Serfsons Milady Gwendolyn Potts "My lady parts" "You little Craven, If I ever get my hands on you, I'm gonna slice you open and drain all of your humors: blood, black bile, yellow bile, and phlegm!" This happened in a "Medieval Version" episode, so it was Bart and Moe's counterparts doing this, not by phone, but through scrolls being written with quill-and-ink, and sent back and forth by messenger birds. Because of Moe's Brooklyn accent, as well as that of Barney Gumble's, Everyone thought that Moe was saying "Milady Parts." rather than "Milady Potts"
Gone Boy Tess T. Culls "Testicles" "Why you little...! When I catch you, I'm gonna stick a beer tap in ya and pull 'til the foam comes out of your ears!" While Bart was acting as a soldier with the rest of his family homemade in a row, after he knocks Homer over, he sees a telephone, and upon making it work, calls Moe's Tavern with this name. Unfortunately, the cord connecting the receiver to the phone itself set on fire. Despite Bart's attempt to put the fire out, the cord effectively stopped working permanently.
King Leer Anita Manbow "I need a manbow" Somebody called Moe and he angrily put his phone and made a threatening remark:
"You have the nerve to call me? Why don't you delete my number from your phone, then put the phone in a sock, and then beat yourself in the head till your face looks like motor lodge buffet eggs!".
Due to that Homer, Lenny and Carl thought it to be a prank call until Moe corrected them and stated that, far from a prank caller, it was actually someone he knew all too well.
Carl was guessing who is calling Moe's and who is supposed to be called.
Ivana Likyu "I wanna lick you" Lenny was guessing who is calling Moe's and who is supposed to be called.
John Ribeer "John RIP Beer" Homer was guessing who is calling Moe's and who is supposed to be called, but Homer's idea wasn't funny.
My Way or the Highway to Heaven Pierre Pants "Pee your pants" "Pierre Pants? Pierre Pants? Oh, come on, anyone in this joint Pierre Pants?" Bart, with a French accent, calls Café Meaux, and asks for Monsieur Pants, first name Pierre. Meaux then asks for Pierre Pants. The Germans laugh, and when Barney also started laughs, Wolfcastle says "Laughing is for Germans only" and shoots Barney in the leg.
From Russia Without Love Ima Buttface "I'm a buttface" "Ima? Nobody's been named that in, like, a hundred years. And as for the rest, why don't you double-check that name, huh? Try saying it out loud." / "Ima Buttface?" / "Yeah, well, mistakes are how we learn there, young fella. Good luck in your, uh, your journey into adulthood." Moe stops reacting to Bart's calls irrationally, which leads him to do something more hardcore.
Top Goon Estee Dionne Malip "STD on my lip" "What? What is funny about that?" "STD" stands for "Sexually Transmitted Disease". Moe gets annoyed at everyone (except Nelson) laughing, and Nelson, standing up for Moe, knocks out Bart and tells Moe that he, not Bart, is the primary.

Other Media[]

Bart's prank calls in comic books, video games, etc.

Episode Name Pun Moe's Reaction Notes
Fan-Tasty Island Lee V. Mediately "Leave immediately" "Listen you little vermin, when Ma Bell offers caller I.D., you're MINE you hear me? MINE!" Bart called the Tavern while on a plane to the island that held a chemical named DT-36 that Homer was to smuggle into the United States for Mr. Burns without knowing. Instead of being laughed at, the customers mistaken Moe of telling them to leave which they did.
The Simpsons: Bart vs. the Space Mutants I.M. Adope "I am a dope" "Huh? Why you little..." Bart gives this prank call randomly when calling Moe to lure him out into the open so his purple shirt can be sprayed orange in the first level. Because of that, these are the only ones where Moe actually tries to attack Bart rather than simply threaten him.
Stu Piddiddiot "Stupid idiot"
Isabelle Ringing "Is a bell ringing?"
The Simpsons: Virtual Springfield Igor DaPinow "I gotta pee now" "Wait a minute... if I ever catch you, I'm gonna use your head for a wastebasket! You know that?!" Heard in Moe's Tavern
Avery Wunzboogerz Everyone's boogers N/A
Haywood Jaspankme "Hey would you spank me?" "Why you little brat! If I ever catch you, I'll pull your arms off and wear them for a scarf!"
The Simpsons: Tapped Out Emma Royd "Hemorrhoid" N/A This prank call happened during the quest “Too Cheap For Call Display”.

Aftermath[]

When Moe realizes that it's actually a prank, he gets mad and gives the caller graphic-sounding threats like:

  • "It's you, isn't it, you cowardly little runt?! When I get a hold of you, I'm gonna gut you like a fish and drink your blood, you cowardly little runt!"
  • "I'll shove a sausage down your throat and stick starving dogs in your butt!"
  • "Listen to me, you, when I catch you, I'm gonna pull out your eyes and shove 'em down your pants so you can watch me kick the crap out of you, okay?! Then I'm gonna use your tongue to paint my boat!"
  • "When I get a hold of you, I'm gonna use your head for a bucket and paint my house with your brains!"
  • "Listen to me, you little scum sucking pus bucket! When I get my hands on you, I'm gonna pull out your eyeballs with a cork screw!"
  • "You rotten little punk! If I ever get a hold of you, I'll sink my teeth into your cheek and rip your face off!"
  • "Why you... I'm gonna chop you into little pieces and make you into a Rubik’s Cube which I would never solve!"

On one occasion, Bart played a phone prank from his house, and right after Moe realized the call was a prank, Marge happened to pick up the phone and got an earful of Moe's threat. Bewildered by the harsh language that came over the phone as soon as she picked up the handset, Marge concluded that it must have been a crossed line.[1] He's done this often enough that when he made a similar graphic threat on the phone, Lenny, Carl, and Homer tried to guess what name the prank caller was using this time around before Moe made clear that it wasn't a prank call this time around, and if anything, he knows the caller "all too well."[2]

Sometimes, Bart passes the phone to someone when Moe realizes that he has been tricked and they get an earful of Moe's threat. This happened in "Principal Charming".

One of Bart’s prank calls made Moe say, "I'm a stupid moron with an ugly face and a big butt and my butt smells and I like to kiss my own butt," in "Treehouse of Horror II"[1]

On some occasions, in addition to laughing for the prank call, the patrons will also give their own witty responses at the call taker's expense. In Principal Charming, after Moe requested for "Homer Sexual", Homer proceeded to jokingly say, "don't look at me" before continuing to laugh at Moe's expense. In addition, in The Bart Zone, Barney comments "That's a new one.". In Burns Verkaufen der Kraftwerk, after Moe asked for Bea O'Problem, Barney yells, "Ya sure do!" before all the barflies proceed to laugh. In New Kid on the Block, when Moe asks if Amanda Hugginkiss is present, Barney, in the middle of the barflies laughing, proceeded to yell, "Maybe your standards are too high!". Similarly, in Lost Verizon, when calling the Bartender at Crocodile Dunkee in Australia, one of the patrons told the barkeep to "better put it down then, mate!" before the bar proceeded to laugh at the barkeep's expense. In Donnie Fatso, Barney Gumble amidst the laughter yells, "Be careful what you wish for!" Love is a Many Strangled Thing has Barney saying "I see it, Moe!". The Simpsons Guy has Barney saying "Then you probably shouldn't be handling food!". The Serfsons has Barney saying, "That depends--How big is your dowry?".

Homer attempted to phone-prank Moe and it backfired, due to Moe repeating the name ("Eura Snotball") back to Homer. Homer, in typical fashion, interpreted it as an insult and threatened Moe: "If I find out who this is, I'll staple a flag on your butt, and mail you to Iran!"[3]

Another time when Bart had just finished a prank call, Marge told him to go to Moe's and pick up Homer. Moe didn't recognise Bart as the phone prankster, but he did think that Bart’s voice sounded familiar.[4]

Bart once managed to take advantage of Moe's constant threats to ruin Jimbo's date with Laura, by addressing himself as Jimbo Jones and giving the Simpson Address after making the prank call. Moe easily fell for it, thinking that the kid fessed up, and then took out a rusty and dull knife (something which suited his purposes, later revealing that he only intended to scare and/or cut the prank caller and not actually kill them), and then arrived at the Simpson residence brandishing the knife, terrifying Jimbo to tears and causing Laura to break up with him.[5]

The Swedish barkeep, after learning that Bart prank called him, said in an ominous tone, "Wait a minute... If I ever get ahold of you... I will thank you for showing me the futility of human endeavor." Although Denis Leary wasn't directly pranked by Bart, he did make a similar threat to Moe's threats due to Bart doing stuff like having him star in Everybody Poops and ordering New York Yankees memorabilia in his name (Leary is a Red Sox fan), where he proceeded to call Bart on what was originally Leary's cell phone, and then, after calling Bart a "little puke," threatening to yank out Bart’s heart with two fingers like he did on his show if they ever met face to face.

When Marge was a teenager, she called Moe asking for Elvis Jagger Abdul-Jabaar, the name Homer used instead of his real name (and which his kids laughed at while telling the story). Moe turned to the camera and said, "And that's the origin of that." His aftermath was "Hey, don't you try and prank ME with a fake name! I will rip out your intestines and use them to make a lanyard!"

It was also implied that Moe unknowingly threatened Fat Tony after he called for a Yuri Nator, a man he was legitimately trying to contact (Yuri Nator was the name of a Russian business partner of Fat Tony's). Fat Tony also indirectly refers to the usual culprit for the prank calls Moe gets by stating that, when calling his business associate, he "didn't expect to be screamed at like some 10-year-old punk making a prank call."

In the first level for The Simpsons: Bart vs. the Space Mutants, Moe's shirt is one of the purple objects the player needs to alter. In order to lure him outside to spray him, the player needs to use one of the coins to use a payphone right outside Moe's Tavern. Upon doing so, a cutscene will play where Bart call Moe and deliver a prank call (which name Bart gave and Moe's asking the barflies is generated at random with each playthrough). Afterwards, he then says "huh? Why you little..." and then steps outside as gameplay resumes, implying he saw Bart outside and deduced who was responsible, though this is non-canon.

Behind the Laughter[]

A similar gag was utilized in the Family Guy episode "A Fish out of Water", where Peter Griffin is tricked by Hennessey into telling a customer about fishing in a manner that indicated that he had sex with the fish.

The classic running gag makes a return in a newer episode called Top Goon.
