The transcript of Bart Jumps.

Part #1: Disappointment[]

[Homer on the left side of the room casually extends his arms out to his son. Bart is standing on a table on the right side of the room.]

Homer: [excitedly] C'mon, Bart. Leap into your father's arms [moving a step backward], come on, just like the good ol' days!
Bart: I'm too big now, Dad, there's no way!
Homer: [moving back and forth while talking]. C'mon, boy, leap! Do it! At a boy! C'mon, Bart!

[Bart, without any choice, hesitantly gets ready to jump off the table that he is standing on. However, as he starts using his body, he accidentally trips off of the table instead of jumping/leaping off of it, and Homer fails to catch him. Thus, he lands directly on his head and bounces on it back, sitting up in the pose of supporting yourself with your shoulder. Homer then looks down at Bart, not looking all that impressed.]

Homer: [somewhat disappointed & irritated at Bart's failed attempt of leaping.] You call that a leap?

Part #2: Always Been Jumpy[]

[Similar to the previous segment, Bart is standing on the table while Homer is with his arms out moving back and forth.]

Bart: [reluctantly] Dad, why are we doing this?
Homer: You've always been afraid of falling on your head ever since you were a little baby. I'm trying to help you overcome your fear.
Bart: [playfully] You want me to jump, because I've always been jumpy?

[Homer laughs, putting his arms down, while Bart makes the leap, falling onto the floor.]

Homer: Hahahaha, that's a good one, son! "Always been jumpy!" Hahahahahaha!

Part #3: Both Right[]

[Similar to the previous segments, Bart is standing on the table while Homer is with his arms out moving back and forth. Bart now has several bumps on his head.]

Bart: [reluctantly] Dad, this is really dumb! My head still hurts from the last two times!
Homer: [impatiently] Let's go, boy! No excuses! I wanna see some gumption! [Bart prepares to make the leap.] Leap! Leap, boy! Leap like you never, um... Leap like you never... What's the past tense of leap?

[Homer begins walking away.]

Homer: Leapt? Leaped?

[Bart lands headfirst into the ground.]

Homer: That doesn't sound right...

[Homer can be heard flipping through a book; likely a dictionary. He comes walking back towards Bart with the book.]

Homer: Well, what do you know? Leaped and leapt! They're both right!

Part #4: Doorbell[]

[Similar to the previous segments, Bart is standing on the table while Homer is with his arms out moving back and forth.]

Bart: [reluctantly] But, Dad...
Homer: [impatiently] I haven't gotten all day, son. Now, leap! And give it all you got!
Bart: Do I have to?
Homer: [angrily] Bart!

[A doorbell rings.]

Homer: I'll get it.

[Homer leaves to answer the door, and Bart lands headfirst on the floor once again. Homer returns to show Bart two pairs of boxing gloves.]

Homer: [happily] Good news, son! The boxing gloves have arrived!
