Synopsis[]

Bart wins a spot on the tour of Krusty the Clown's new factory for producing all things Krusty and clowny, while Sideshow Bob attempts to derail the tour and Cecil does his crosswords.

Full Story[]

Krusty is promoting new products and having a Krusty seal on them cause he's worried that imitators are framing him for unsafe reasons. Meanwhile at Martha's Vineyard, Krusty announces a contest to have 4 kids tour his Krusty factory (in a nod to Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory) by placing 4 golden straws in Krusty Cherry Soda.

Ralph is the first to get a straw, but he has help from Chief Wiggum who holds off people til Ralph finds a straw. Homer complains about civil servants always getting things they want, and then he has an appendix attack and must go the hospital but Bart wants to find the golden straw instead. A plainclothes doctor says that Homer's appendix must be taken out and after the surgery we find out that Nelson has the 2nd straw but only cause he shook Milhouse down. Bart complains that his chances of a golden straw are as bad as Martin's chances of being picked for kickball. But things change as Dr. Hibbert reveals a straw in Homer's appendix and Bart claims it as his golden ticket. Homer complains that it was in his system so thus it's his and then he decides not to ride in the same car as a "straw thief" and also cause Bart chose Grampa to be his plus one. Homer buys a few sodas off Kearney in exchange for his white shirt, he tosses it in the recycling and Barney finds a straw in it, so Homer gave up 2 straws by himself.

However Homer decides to be Barney's plus one, Chief Wiggum is Ralph's and Snake is Nelson's. Sideshow Bob plans evil things for Krusty while Cecil does his crosswords. Many things start to go wrong but with a team effort, they save Krusty's life and stop Sideshow Bob. Mr Teeny does let Krusty know about the plan and Bob is foiled and Cecil finally realizes the word he's looking for is menace.
