History[]
In 1982, Beatrice was part of Joe Quimby's election staff, the one in charge of getting Quimby his coffee. While Quimby was playing his handheld video game, she told him he was wasting his chance to help the people of Springfield, and then she quit, but Quimby asked her not to leave yet. If Quimby wants to stick around with her, then he needs to visit the real neighborhoods and connect with the people he would be serving. Beatrice took Quimby to Slobtown, where, since Quimby's father had left the town, he had grown up. Quimby seems to be uncomfortable about his lavish lifestyle, yet he couldn't help but enjoy it despite his doubts. Quimby asked Beatrice if she would like to be his campaign manager, and she told him that he would promise to be the best version of himself. Without any lies, he accepts her. Beatrice and Quimby went to the Slobic Diner to help people elect him.
After Quimby won his election, he proposed to Beatrice, and she accepted him. In 1983, Beatrice and Quimby got married, but his father wanted to talk to him aside to remind him that he needed to maintain his womanizing image, as it was a key part of his tough, hyper-masculine political persona. Quimby agreed to present the public with the Mistresses, making Beatrice in private. When he told her, she was upset and left him immediately as a result. When young Marge asked Beatrice before she left, she told her that none of the princesses were real and "happily ever after," leaving broken Marge's heart.
In the present day, Marge and Lisa went to visit to see Beatrice, and she asked Lisa why Marge was standing at the doorway. Marge confronted Beatrice about what she had told her in the past when she was four. Beatrice apologized to Marge for what had happened and shared her whole story with her and Lisa. Subsequently, Beatrice and Marge made up again.
