The Boogeyman (also spelled Bogeyman) is a mythological monster, or demon.
Biography[]
In the myths, the Boogeyman is portrayed as a devilish, evil, trickster, who enjoys killing, or scaring those weaker than him.
Inside the Simpsons[]
He is indirectly mentioned in Good Night, by Lisa Simpson when she was talking fast, she most likely has a phobia of the Boogeyman, as she later mentions in $pringfield (Or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Legalized Gambling), because Lisa had a Nightmare of him, when Marge wasn't there to stop the panic, Homer, Bart, and Lisa all hide by the couch, Homer held a shotgun, as he was worried that the Boogeyman would attack them. When Marge gets home, she is nearly shot by Homer, but when Homer realize it is her, he drops the shotgun. Marge proceeds to reassure them that the Boogeyman is not in the house. Bart and Charlie once watched a horror movie about the Boogeyman, when leaving Charlie says he is afraid he will be attacked by the Boogeyman. He is also mentioned in Bart Sells His Soul, and The Seemingly Never-Ending Story.
