Buddy Holly (b. Charles Hardin Holley) is a deceased man buried at the Springfield Cemetery. He was a rock 'n' roll musician in the 1950s and leader of the band The Crickets, most famous for the songs Peggy Sue, That'll Be the Day and many others. He lived from September 7, 1936 to February 3, 1959 and died in the same plane crash as J.P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson and Richie Valens.

History

After finding Edgar Neubauer's grave, Bart and Lisa learned that Mayor Sideshow Bob had stuffed his ballot with "votes" cast from deceased people and animals buried at the Springfield Cemetery and Springfield Pet Cemetery, respectively, among them Buddy Holly.
