The Casablanca Alternate Ending is a film reel which Bart Simpson dug up in the yard of 742 Evergreen Terrace. It begins identically to the ending of the real 1942 film Casablanca, but as Louis and Rick walk away together, in this version Sam warns the latter character that Louis is carrying a gun, which Louis takes out and threatens Rick with. Sam shoves his piano towards Louis, knocking him down and rendering him unconscious. Then, Adolf Hitler emerges from the inside of Sam's piano and is about to throw explosives at them. However, Ilsa parachutes onto the piano, slamming the lid shut and trapping Hitler inside. Sam begins playing the piano, and the scene transitions to Rick and Ilsa's wedding. It turned out that the Old Jewish Man had attempted to put that happy ending on (as opposed to the bittersweet ending that the final version of the film is known for) because studio executives at the time were just "dopes in suits."
Years later, Bart and Lisa found the reel while using a metal detector, where Lisa believed that this should be in a museum, only for Old Jewish Man to pay them $20 to rebury it, plus a reel of the "It's a Wonder life" film.
