Cate Elise Blanchett (born May 14, 1969) is an Australian actress, producer and theatre director. She is most known for her roles in The Lord of the Rings movie trilogy and its sequel, The Hobbit trilogy, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Elizabeth, The Aviator, Blue Jasmine, Carol and Thor: Ragnarok.

In The Simpsons, Blanchett guest voice starred as Elaine Wolff in the Season 31 finale episode, "The Way of the Dog".
