The Clapboard couch gag is the first couch gag of Season 5.
Plot[]
A director does three couch gag takes. Take one: The Simpsons first run into the living room and shatter like glass, with Santa's Little Helper walking in to look at the mess on the floor. Take two: The Simpsons run in and coalesce into a multicolored, five-headed blob. Take three: The Simpsons run in and explode on contact, with Maggie's pacifier falling onto the blackened crater.
