Clyde is a stall owner at the Springfield Tire Fire. He makes his first appearance in "The Old Blue Mayor She Ain't What She Used to Be".
He was voiced by Dan Castellaneta.
History[]
At some point, he was a soldier during Vietnam and his best friend “Thank-U” was killed, and Clyde fought in the “battle of Ding-Dong” which is a fictional battle, and never really happened. Some time later, Clyde opened a souvenir shop at the Tire Yard, and he managed to get his son through med-school, this made Marge Simpson upset, and try to buy his stall, and when he denies Marge calls him a “Ding-Dong” which upsets everyone because of Clyde’s past battle, and when Marge thanks Clyde for his service people believed she believed she mentioned “Thank-U”.

- Apparently, his son named a stammer after him, this may be a reference to Clyde’s constant stammering.
