The Comic Book Guy's Bar (abbreviated to CB-GB) is a Hardcore Punk themed stripitz bar owned by Comic Book Guy.
In 1977, Sid and Nancy made a show there, but instead of Punk, they sing a calm, love sung. This presentation got they banned from the bar, as they violated everything punk standed for: nothing.
Behind the Laughter
The bar was based on real life's Country, Bluegrass, Blues and Other Music For Uplifting Gormandizers, abbreviated as CBGB & OMFUG, or simply CBGB. It was a famous Hardcore Punk bar in New York City, responsible for the success of lots of punk rock bands. The real CBGB was closed in 2006 due to a rent controversy.
