Compu-Global-Hyper-Mega-Net is Homer's Internet company from the episode "Das Bus". The company's headquarters is the dining room of 742 Evergreen Terrace. It is never made clear what the company sells or offers; however, Microsoft's Bill Gates still "buys out" the company.
History[]
After receiving some of Ned Flanders' mail, Homer becomes aware Ned has created an online business Flancrest Enterprises.
Hearing of the Internet for the first time, Homer decides to set up his own internet company, initially naming it Flancrest Enterprises too before settling on the lengthy "Compu-Global-Hyper-Mega-Net". Despite being the only staff member, Homer appoints himself Junior Vice President of the company.
It is unclear what Compu-Global-Hyper-Mega-Net sells or provides, but Homer advertises his business online anyway. Seeking a new IP router, Comic Book Guy visits the company and lists the complex specifications of the equipment he needs. Homer, completely lost, stares at him blankly and asks for his money.
Though unsuccessful, Compu-Global-Hyper-Mega-Net attracts the attention of Microsoft CEO Bill Gates who visits the Simpsons at home. Gates admits he can't figure out what the company sells but offers to buy out the business anyway. Homer, excited, coyly tells Gates he "reluctantly agrees" to sell.
Gates then instructs a group of goons to 'buy out' the company, by destroying the office and smashing Homer's office equipment and belongings. With a menacing laugh, Gates tells Marge and Homer that he "didn't get rich by writing checks".
