The Crappy RV is a dilapidated motorhome which was damaged by the previous owner before being sold to Bob's RV Round-Up, where Cowboy Bob sold it for next to nothing. Homer originally went to buy another vehicle[1], but this was the only RV that he could afford, so he takes it. It is in bad condition and always backfires. It is also falling apart and smells bad, yet the Simpsons go on their family vacation in it. Homer doesn't use maps, so ends up driving it straight through Springfield National Forest and almost plunging it off Tenderfoot Gorge. The Simpsons escape, but the RV goes over the cliff and explodes. The RV resembles a 1975-1991 Ford E-series motorhome, and is shown to have a manual transmission.
