Crippler is one of Mr. Burns' oldest hounds. He has been a guard dog for Mr Burns since the late 60's and was later replaced temporarily by Santa's Little Helper in Dog of Death. Crippler will always have a place in the heart of Mr. Burns.
Trivia[]
- Crippler being a guard dog since the late 60's would make him at least in his early 30s at the time of the episode. In real life, only one dog ever lived that long: Rafiero do Alentejo named Bobi (although this claim is currently disputed)
