Cuba is an island country located in the Caribbean, about ninety miles south of the U.S. state of Florida . In geographic terms, Cuba is considered to be part of North America. The country's capital is Havana . Its government is entirely of Communism, a political theory derived from Karl Marx, advocating class war and leading to a society in which all property is publicly owned and each person works and is paid according to their abilities and needs. It has a bitter rivalry with the United States of America, due to aligning with the Soviet Union during the Cold War, around the early 1960s.

History[]

Cuba appears on Bart's globe.[1]

Homer, Mr. Burns and Smithers visit Cuba when they are on the run from the U.S. Federal Government. Mr. Burns tries to buy Cuba with a trillion-dollar bill, but Fidel Castro steals the bill and the trio are forced out of the country.[2]

In the next appearance Julio takes Smithers there for a "Romantic trip" that ends out miserably.[3]

The Simpsons came here to get Abe to receive better health care, after the healthcare in Springfield was a flop.[4]
