Cultural References

  • The title is a pun with "Bad Behaviour".
  • The chalkboard gag "I will watch all 600 episodes without sleeping" is a reference to a marathon that was being aired on FXX to celebrate the 600th episode mark, where all episodes from Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire to Treehouse of Horror XXVII are being aired. It started on November 24, 2016 and finished on December 6, 2016.
  • Abe's memories of his father have a similar animation style to that of the old Fleischer Studios Popeye cartoons.
  • Homer sings a version of the chorus of the Steely Dan's song Dirty Work.
  • In the end of the episode, the message "We'll miss you Vin Scully" appears, as he retired from his sports broadcaster career in 2016.
  • The song played during the kart chase and end credits was made by Alf Clausen and Greg Prechel and is a homage to the songs from The Fast and the Furious franchise.

  • This is the first episode that is now produced by Fox Television Animation after Film Roman ended their production. But remain uncredited.
  • Lisa has a single line of dialogue: "I can't believe you threw away my Utne Readers!"
  • This episode's plot is somehow similar to the one in Brother from the Same Planet, where Bart starts seeing another person as a father figure, leaving Homer so envious that he starts hanging out with another kid.

  • The kitchen table is out of sight when Homer walks across the kitchen singing, but it reappears in the next scene.
  • When Grampa tells Homer that his girlfriend is pregnant, the number on his door disappears.
