David Hyde Pierce (born April 3, 1959) is an American actor. He guest starred on The Simpsons as Sideshow Bob's younger brother Cecil. He first appeared in Season 8's "Brother from Another Series", and ten years later in "Funeral for a Fiend". He appears again as himself in the Season 26 premiere. He is best known for playing Frasier Crane's brother Niles on the sitcom Frasier. Sideshow Bob is voiced by Kelsey Grammer, who plays Frasier Crane in Frasier. Actor John Mahoney, who played Martin Crane, the father of both Frasier and Niles, would later play the father of Bob and Cecil, Dr. Robert Terwilliger, Sr. His other famous roles include the voice of Slim in A Bug's Life, and the voice of Drix in the animated film Osmosis Jones.
