Dawnn Jewel Lewis (born August 13, 1961) is an American actress. She is best known for her portrayal of Jaleesa Vinson-Taylor on the NBC television sitcom A Different World, which aired from its inception in 1987 until the conclusion of its fifth season in 1992. Additionally, she contributed to the by co-writing its opening theme song.

In Season 31 episode "The Fat Blue Line", Lewis voiced Lenora Carter.

Starting with the episode "Uncut Femmes", in response of the death of George Floyd (and the push for more voice actors of color to voice characters of color, rather than having white voice actors voice any character of color), Lewis has taken over as the voice of Dr. Hibbert's wife Bernice, who was voiced by Tress MacNeille on the rare times Bernice had a speaking role. Lewis also plays a supporting role in Matt Groening's second animated series, Futurama, portraying Hermes Conrad's wife LaBarbara.
