Richard Wagstaff "Dick" Clark (November 30, 1929 — April 18, 2012) was an American game show host, radio personality and television personality. He was best known for his long-running variety series American Bandstand, his New Year's Rockin' Eve specials, American Dreams and The Weird Al Show. He was also known for being the executive producer for many awards shows, such as the Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, American Music Awards, Annual Golden Globe Awards, Annual Daytime Emmy Awards and the Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.
Besides being an executive producer, he was known as the host for The $10,000 Pyramid from 1973 to 1988 and for The $25,000 Pyramid from 1975 to 1991. He was also known for guest starring as himself in several shows.
On The Simpsons, he guest starred as himself in "Treehouse of Horror X".
