Natalie Maines, Martie Maguire, and Emily Robison, collectively known as The Dixie Chicks, are an all-girl country music trio from Texas. They became notorious during the early 2000s when Maines made a comment criticizing the George W. Bush administration during a concert in 2003. The group has sold 30.5 million albums in the United States through August 2009.
In the episode Bart-Mangled Banner they can be seen locked inside the jail of the Ronald Reagan Reeducation Center. They appeared as themselves in the episode Papa Don't Leech.
