At the Duff Beer Company, executives are hard at work discussing the direction of their new ad campaign. One of them eventually suggests that they take a "survival of the fittest" theme, in which two average men are to match wits.
Homer Simpson and Barney Gumble are picked to star in a series of sketches in which Barney tries to steal Homer's supply of Duff Beer using outlandish disguises and repeatedly failing before finally settling on knocking Homer out with a wooden board. As the Simpsons watch the commercial and Homer boasts on his performance, Barney peers out from nearby with Homer's beer in his eyes.
