The Elderly Clerk is an old man who has been seen working in various positions throughout the show.
History[]
In "Maximum Homerdrive" After Homer Simpson had decided to drive Red Barclay's truck to Atlanta, he and Bart needed to drive 2200 miles in 10 hours. Homer decided to stop in a small roadside market to buy some pep pills so he could drive all night. The Elderly Clerk working there gave him a bottle of Stimu-Crank. Homer grabbed it and ate almost all of the pills. The clerk was shocked and told him that Homer should not eat that many pills at once. Homer replied that he would "balance it out" with some sleeping pills, grabbed another bottle and ate many pills from it. Then he ran out of the shop, ready to drive all the night.
The Clerk's most notable appearance where is in "E-I-E-I-D'oh", where he is an employee of Sneed's Feed & Seed, a shop which Homer visits while trying to grow something on the Old Simpson Farm. The old man has some knowledge on the area and the farms within it knowing precise pH measurements.
In "Behind the Laughter", the Elderly Clerk appears briefly in a scene counting the Simpson family's debts.

- In the Clerk's first appearance, his hair is white, his cap is black, his shirt is grey, and his suspenders are lighter-blue. However, in his second appearance his hair is grey, his cap is brown, his shirt is white, and his suspenders are darker-blue.
