Elisabeth Kiernan Averick is a writer for The Simpsons and has previously worked as a producer. She has previously produced the TV series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, where she was also a writers' assistant, and produced Six Train; Averick's other work includes the film Selma, the TV movie Hitched, the Human Target TV series, and the Zero Hour TV series. She is the wife of film producer Spencer Averick.
