Embry Joe Spuckler is one of Cletus and Brandine Spuckler's many children. He still retains his umbilical cord. His name appears to be a pun on the word "embryo".

When Bart becomes fed up with keys and the good luck they brought, he throws the enormous key to the city over the school fence and it lands at the Spuckler House. There, Cletus finds the key and comments that he finally has something to cut the umbilical chord between Brandine and their son, Embry Joe. Brandine tells him that if he cut it, he'd "have another mouth to feed". She then offers Embry Joe chocolate milk and he agrees. She then drinks the chocolate milk herself, and it is transferred through the umbilical chord, directly into his stomach, upon which the boy sighed in contentment.
