Lisa stumbles upon three Wiccans while she is lost in the woods playing hide and seek with some of Cletus's children. Lisa agrees to join these teenagers, but they are arrested while she is performing the ceremony. During the ongoing case, half of Springfield goes blind and accuses the girls of cursing them. The judge dismisses the case due to a lack of evidence; however, the people of Springfield still demand justice. The girls are taken to Lake Springfield to be dunked in order to determine if they are witches. Just before they dunked, Lisa reveals the true cause of everyone's blindness: hillbillies, after discovering Homer's moonshine tasting talent, hold a moonshine fair featuring their homemade moonshine for Homer to judge. When police arrive to arrest the Wiccans, the hillbillies mistakenly believe they are the target and dump all the moonshine into the river, causing everyone to go blind. Lisa saves the three teenagers from being dunked. Marge thinks they are nice girls but forbids Lisa from associating with them again.
