FXX is an American television network launched in September 2, 2013 by FX Networks, now owned by The Walt Disney Company under its Walt Disney Television division. It is well known by their three Simpsons marathons and their block of Simpsons reruns that air on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday every week since the first marathon ended.

Every.Simpsons.Ever.[]

In 2013, for $750 million, FXX acquired syndication rights to Fox's long running series, The Simpsons. At that time, FXX already had rights to show The Simpsons Movie.

To celebrate the network acquiring syndication rights to The Simpsons, in 2014, FXX held a 12 day Simpsons marathon known as "Every. Simpsons. Ever." which ran from August 21st to September 1st, and consisted of all 552 episodes of the show at that time played chronologically and uncut, including The Simpsons Movie. The marathon was also accompanied by customized idents, promos, and bumpers. It also marked the debut of the remastered widescreen versions of episodes from the first 20 seasons, which would become the default mode of presentation for the show in streaming and syndication. Critics said that the 2014 Simpsons marathon was the longest continuous marathon in the history of television, but this record was beaten by VH1 Classic's "SNL Rewind 2015-1975 Mega-Marathon".

The Simpsons 600 Marathon[]

In 2016, to celebrate the 600th episode of The Simpsons, FXX did another Simpsons marathon, but it lasted 13 days instead due to the increase in episodes between the marathons. This marathon ran from November 24th to December 6th, and consisted of all 600 episodes playing chronologically and uncut, but doesn't include The Simpsons Movie.

Plus+Size Holiday Marathon[]

From December 17 to December 31, 2019, in commemoration of the series debut on television and the series streaming exclusively on Disney+, FXX broadcast the first 30 seasons (except for Stark Raving Dad) in chronological order, plus The Simpsons Movie and the syndication premiere of The Longest Daycare, a total of 15 days. Following the airing of Crystal Blue-Haired Persuasion are an encore airing of The Simpsons Movie and The Longest Daycare, which are then followed by the top eleven episodes determined by the creators and viewer reception. The marathon was named "Plus Size" as a promotion for the show's new streaming home, Disney+; the plus symbol used in the marathon logo was similar to that of the Disney+ logo, and a promotion for the show's streaming availability was shown next to the FXX DOG during the marathon run, as well as during commercials for the marathon.

Syndicated reruns[]

Shortly after the first marathon ended on September 1st, 2014, FXX began to rerun Simpsons episodes every week, and the episodes are randomly picked (Monday usually isn't random, and shows one random episode from each of the first twelve seasons numerically). As of September 1st, 2014, FXX's block of Simpsons reruns run on every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday of every week, except for Wednesday and Saturday. However, unlike the marathons, FXX's prints of episodes for their syndicated rerun block are cut, just like Fox's syndicated prints, except for Sunday reruns, which contain uncut versions of episodes.
