Charles Tamzarian, known informally as Chuck or Farmer 1, is the former owner of Sneed's Feed & Seed (named Chuck's Feed & Seed while he was the owner), a convenience store close to the Farm where Homer grew up.
Al Sneed purchased the store from Chuck and his wives for an undisclosed amount, later renaming it to place a greater emphasis on agricultural supplies. Sneed and Chuck remain on good terms with Chuck occasionally working at the convenience store alongside an elderly man.

- Chuck's identity and backstory, as well as his full name, was revealed by Ian Maxtone-Graham in two Twitter posts.[1][2] Previously he had been referred to as Farmer 1.
- He has no known relation to Seymour Skinner (a.k.a. Armin Tamzarian).
