Ferdinand Juan Gurney (November 10th, 1898 - December 19th, 1980) also known as Grandpa Gurney or Mr. Gurney was the husband of Alvarine Gurney, the father of Gladys Gurney, Lou Gurney and Jacqueline, the father-in-law of Clancy Bouvier, and the maternal grandfather of Selma, Patty and Marge Bouvier. He is also the maternal great-grandfather of Bart, Lisa and Maggie Simpson and Homer Simpson's grandfather-in-law. He was also the son of Thomas and Ingrid Gurney.
