Saturn was an American car brand that produced primarily compact cars during the 1990s before expanding into other car categories in the 2000s; a Saturn was featured in the episode "D'oh-in' in the Wind," as well as several other episodes. The Saturn brand was established by General Motors in 1991 and produced a compact car that competed against Japanese imports. Saturns were well known for being made with plastic body panels, which were dent-resistant and easily replaceable, and Saturn dealers were also known for offering "no-haggle" pricing, where the price on the car was the price the customer paid, without any "fine print" markups or hidden fees.

The Saturn featured in "D'oh-in' in the Wind" is owned by Seth and Munchie, although Seth appears to be the primary owner/driver. The exact model of Seth and Munchie's Saturn appears to be a 1996-1998 Saturn SL2; Saturn SL2s have body-colored bumpers whereas the SL1 has black plastic bumpers. In addition, Homer is seen sticking his head out of the sunroof, which would probably indicate the SL2 model as the SL2 was available with higher-end features such as a sunroof.

The new health inspector in "Mommie Beerest" drives a late 1990s Saturn SL1, complete with black plastic bumpers, which belongs to the health department.

A blue late 1990s Saturn SL2 can be seen in "Treehouse of Horror XXI" during the Tweenlight segment.

Coach Krupt drives an early 2000s Saturn SC coupe (presumably an SC2) in "Bart Stops to Smell the Roosevelts". The driver's side door is incorrectly modeled, as the car in the episode has a driver's door composed of two doors within the driver's side door, and the swing-out third door found on real-life Saturn SC coupes since 1999 is missing. However, the side windows are correctly modeled to indicate where the third door would normally be.

A black late 1990s Saturn SL2 can be seen in "AE Bonny Romance" in the parking lot of the park.
