Max von Sydow (April 10, 1929 – March 8, 2020) was a Swedish-French actor whose career spanned over 70 years. He voiced Klaus Ziegler in the season 25 episode "The War of Art".
Von Sydow was best known for his collaborations with Swedish director Ingmar Bergman, appearing in movies such as The Seventh Seal and Through a Glass Darkly. He also then starred in American movies including The Exorcist, Hannah and Her Sisters and Shutter Island. Other notable roles included Emperor Ming the Merciless in 1980 sci-fi film Flash Gordon, Ernst Stavro Blofeld in unofficial 1983 James Bond film Never Say Never Again, Dr Liet-Kynes in 1984's Dune, and Lor San Tekka in 2015's Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Von Sydow died on March 8, 2020 at his home in Provence, France at the age 90. No cause of death was given. He was survived by his wife and his four sons.
