The Flowers couch gag is the sixteenth couch gag of Season 9.
Plot[]
In a parody of the classic Rocky & Bullwinkle end-of-episode bumper, the Simpsons fall off a cliff during a lightning storm as a reorchestration of the theme music accompanying the bumper plays throughout. Their silhouttes are shown floating through a mosaic of colors. The scene then cuts to the Simpsons sprouting from the ground amidst a garden of flowers. Bart spits up a clod of dirt with a flower planted in it.

Trivia[]
- This couch gag has an edit in UK airings, as when it airs on Channel 4, BBC and Sky Showcase, the flashing frames when the Simpsons are about to fall off a cliff are either shortened or removed. This is to prevent seizures for viewers with epilepsy.
