Fred Flintstone is a cartoon character from The Flintstones.

History

The Flintstones (Fred, Wilma, and Pebbles) are on the couch. When the Simpsons come in, Fred smiles at Homer and invites him to sit.[1]

In the season six episode Sideshow Bob Roberts, Bart, who has been demoted to kindergarten by order of the mayor's office, plays with a "Flintstone phone" toy and dials up Fred, whose automated message (voiced by then-voice actor of the real Fred Flintstone, Henry Corden) is played when Bart presses a button with Fred's face on it.

In "The Simpsons Guy" crossover special with Family Guy where the Simpsons meet the Griffin family, after Homer finds a Pawtucket Patriot label on a bottle of Duff beer while arguing with Peter over which beer is better, Homer takes legal action against the Pawtucket Brewery. In the courtroom, Fred serves as the judge. He claims that neither beer is wholly original, being pale imitations of his favorite brand of beer, Bud Rock. Regardless, he rules in favor of Duff, as he wouldn't be paid if he were not to reach a verdict. Despite this, the Pawtucket Brewery is still in operation, as the citizens of Springfield don't want to bother coming to Quahog to shut the brewery down.
